PAWS for CAWS | Photography Fundraising Event February 6th!
January 18, 2010Engagement Portraits Salt Lake City | Ryker and Heather
January 18, 2010We had fun on Saturday, photographing Ryker and Heather’s engagement portraits. They were good sports (especially Heather with her high heels) as we braved the freezing temps and had them posing on sheets of solid ice. It was nice getting to know them and we are so excited to photograph their wedding in March! Here are some of our favs from the session…let us know which ones you like!

Starting off the year with some baby portraits!
January 16, 2010New Year, New Space, New Ideas
January 12, 2010I hope everyone had a holiday, as for my family, we had a great one. We did everything pretty low-key this year and just focused on doing a lot of fun activities and we had a blast. I can’t believe we are already well into January. We have been so busy with some fun projects and preparing for some major events we will be doing this year.
Just before Christmas we finished construction on our new office. I must say, I LOVE it! I am still putting a few things on the walls, but as soon as I’m done I’ll share some pics. I love the color scheme of mustard, baby blue, and black and white that we went with. Our new office will allow for a lot more space for our post production work. I will also finally have a space for my assistant to work and one of my favorite spots in our new packaging center where we have everything for our boutique packaging right at our fingertips.
In addition to the new office we have been pouring over two event promotions. The first is one we did last year, our senior model rep search. Last year we had a lot of interested seniors and we did a ton of model rep shoots, but we wanted to make the relationship between the high school senior model reps and our studio more meaningful, so we revamped the Model Rep Program and unleashed our campaign of Facebook last week. We are loving all the applications coming in from all over Utah.
Our second event is one we have never done before and this is the first place I have mentioned it publicly. We will be launching the promotion for the even in just days and I’m so excited! This new event will be called PAW for CAWS and it is actually a fundraiser event to benefit caws.org. Last October I lost my dog due to complications during a surgery and my family and I were just heartbroken over it. Since then, I have wanted to do something good in his name to benefit other animals. So this Valentines, we are doing a benefit event and hoping to raise several hundred dollars for CAWS.
As we look towards 2010 we hope that this year will be our best yet. Of course we couldn’t do any of it without our wonderful family, friends, and clients. Thank you for allowing us to do what we love!
