bbse 027 1 Busy and beautiful, all thrown in a blender! We have been busy busy busy here at the studio, with more seniors scheduling shoots than ever before.
But Mother Nature’s thrown us quite the creative curveball as of late. With so many shoots scheduled and amazing ideas ready to go for each, the weather has proved to be the biggest challenge so far this year!
From shooting in the rain to creating fantastic urban-styled images in nearly 50 mile-per-hour winds, dust and dirt, we’ve had our creative juices stretched lately, and the results are coming out beautiful!

This past week we were able to do a great urban shoot with Braelynn, complete with unique backgrounds, amazing outfits and fantastic locations…but all in the rain! Not just a light drizzle either, we’re talking torrential tropic downpour!
Braelynn was a star and toughed it out both with, and without an umbrella! She stayed poised and stylish, all while getting soaked completely through. Let’s just say it’s a good thing we were on the other side of the lens, because we didn’t look half as cool soaking wet as she did!

Last night we had an awesome shoot, despite the hurricane force winds (it felt like it anyways!), flying debris (yup, we had that too) and massive end-of-the-world-looking storm clouds blocking out any available light.
But this is exactly where our experience gets the chance to come out and shine!
What’s a good photography team to do when a dust cloud the size of Wyoming blocks out the sun? Easy! We bring our own. And we’re not talking your standard ‘snap on the top of the camera’ flash here either, we’re way to creative for that. Boxes, cables cords and bulbs, power packs batteries and straps galore.
Mariah was a hard-core outdoor trooper as she braved windy conditions (with gorgeous hair the whole time by the way!), flying flowers and even a few floating weeds, all with cute outfits, an easy smile and an even better laugh!

We’re lucky to have such great clients, trusting our creativity and experience, even during such crazy weather.

nbe 005 Senior Portrait Photography | Natalie Over the past three years we have been expanding our High School Senior Portrait market in Utah. We have already photographed over 20 sessions since January with 8 more already booked for April. We have mostly been sharing our images on our Senior Portrait Facebook Page, but we have had many of moms ask if we could do blog posts about the senior portrait sessions so they can share with family and friends who do not have facebook account. So, it is my new goal to try and post every session on the blog! :)

On Saturday we had the opportunity to photograph Natalie’s High School Senior Portraits. Natalie goes to Grantsville High School in Utah. She was great to work with and we had fun in the studio! Here are a few of our favs from the session!
