Photoumbra Studios specializes in headshots (for individuals, teams, and events), personal and business branding photography including executive portraits. All sessions reflect your brand, personality and goals.

Do you shoot in-studio, on-location, or both?

Both! Our Herriman studio is fully equipped and ideal for consistent, clean looks—but we also bring the studio to you if you prefer on-site photography at your office or event space. We serve locations between Ogden to Orem including Salt Lake City and Park City.

How do I book a session and what is your process?

Booking your session is easy. Depending on your needs, you can either book online through our Book Now page or start with a free Discovery Call to discuss your goals and vision.

From there, we’ll schedule your shoot, guide you through wardrobe and styling, and handle every detail on the day of your session. Afterward, you’ll receive your proofing gallery quickly, select your favorites, and get your final retouched images on a streamlined timeline.

What should I wear / how should I prepare for a headshot or branding session?

We’ll provide wardrobe guidance tailored to your brand and objectives. Stick to solid colors, minimal logos, and textures that translate well on camera. When you book your photo session with us, we'll send you a copy of our "What to Wear" Guide for men and women. We’ll also coach your posing and expressions so you feel confident and look your best.

How many final images will I receive and what’s the turnaround time?

The number of final images depends on the package you select, and all details are clearly outlined when you book your session. After your shoot, you’ll receive a proofing gallery to review and choose your favorites.

You’re always welcome to purchase additional images after the session. Turnaround times are fast, most clients receive their final retouched photos within a couple of business days.

Who owns the copyright to my photos, and what usage rights do I have?

Per U.S. copyright law, Photoumbra Studios retains the copyright to all images we create. This is standard practice in professional photography and ensures that your images remain protected under federal law.

As our client, you receive a usage license granting full rights to use your final, delivered images for their intended business and promotional purposes including websites, social media, marketing materials, and press features.

You’re welcome to use your photos freely to promote yourself or your brand. However, reselling, significantly altering, or distributing the images to third parties (such as vendors, advertisers, or media outlets) requires written permission or an extended commercial license.
