Headshots and Branding Photography for Utah Sports Reporter
I've been a massive Utah Jazz fan since childhood. We shared some season tickets with a family member at the old Salt Palace. Seeing amazing athletes like Micheal Jordan, Karl Malone, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar as a youth was inspiring and caused me to fall in love with basketball. I played in Jr. High and High school, but that was pretty much the end of the road for my competitive basketball days. I still do play for fun on a weekly basis though and get my fill of competitive basketball by watching every Jazz game.
Any true Jazz fan follows the best NBA reporters and Tony Jones of The Athletic certainly fits that description. We first connected on Twitter with friendly banter about the Jazz. I noticed Tony didn't have any good headshots so I reached out to him and asked him if he'd be interested in getting some headshots that he could use on his various social media outlets. He was excited about the idea and we set up a time for him to come to my studio in Herriman.
As with any of our headshot sessions, we had Tony bring a professional outfit and something more casual that would speak to his interests. As a basketball player himself, he appropriately brought a Nike hoodie and sweat pants along with his pair of Donovan Mitchel Issue #1 shoes.
Tony was such a blast to photograph. He was up for anything and while we didn't have much time with him, we were able to capture several different looks.
